NEWESD 101 Community Coalition Coordinator, Sarah McNew and Community-level Social Worker, Audrey Curtis, spoke at the Spokane City Council Study Session last month to raise awareness about the West Spokane Wellness Partnership and to advocate for increased local substance prevention funding.

The West Spokane Wellness Partnership is one of the ESD's eight Community Prevention & Wellness Initiative coalitions. Comprised of community and school-based partnerships, the coalitions deliver prevention programs and strategies focused on reducing underage use of alcohol, marijuana, tobacco and other drugs in communities across Spokane and rural northeast Washington.
