NEWESD 101 is a local administrator of Washington's Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP). ECEAP is a comprehensive, state-funded high-quality preschool program providing free educational services and supports to eligible children and their families. Leadership and parent education opportunities are also provided for families. The program's goal is to help ensure all Washington children enter kindergarten ready to succeed.
In partnership with 12 school districts and three licensed child care centers, NEWESD 101's Center for Early Childhood Services provides ECEAP services throughout the region. Sites are located in Adams, Lincoln, Ferry, and Stevens counties, as well as within the Mead School District and on the "South Hill" in Spokane County.
