NEWESD 101's Technology & Design Services provides a series of opportunities for district informational technology and educational technology directors to meet and discuss current issues, get updates on projects and OSPI requirements, and exchange ideas on what's happening in their districts.
Since technology is more than just the nuts and bolts of hardware, our agendas include information and materials that relate to technology in the curriculum, as well as presentations of online teaching and learning resources. Curriculum directors are encouraged to attend when there is a topic of interest to them.
We'll occasionally start the session out with a training opportunity or presentation on a topic that covers hardware and software aspects of educational technology, as well as the support technology provides for instruction.
After lunch, we'll spend time discussing current issues, provide updates from OSPI, and allow time for inter-district collaboration. The General Sessions run from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The professional development or showcase sessions will have their own schedule.
