Many of the districts within the NEWESD 101 region have taken advantage of the benefits offered by becoming members of the Special Education Cooperative. School districts may become a member of the Cooperative by signing an annual service agreement contract. These services include: school psychology, speech and language therapy, administrative assistance and referrals for occupational therapy, physical therapy and vision instruction services

In addition to the direct service provided by our highly qualified NEWESD 101 special education staff, member districts also enjoy the benefits of a variety of options at no additional cost. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • Consultation and program coordination
  • Staff and family support
  • Assisting to create partnerships to better serve the students in our 30 Cooperative member districts
