2024 Regional High School Visual Art Show

Students are now preparing for the 2024 Regional High School Art Show.

 

IMPORTANT DATES (additional dates for viewing the show after hours will be posted when the show opens)

Wednesday, January 10 – Friday, January 26 Submit artwork to NEWESD electronically

Friday, January 19 - Friday, February 2 - Deliver physical artwork to NEWESD

Monday, February 5 – Tuesday, March 26 - Art Show open to the public (in person)

Friday, February 16 - Art Show open to the public (online)

Monday, February 5 – Friday, February 9 - Judging

Tuesday, March 26 - 2024 Regional High School Art Show Ceremony (in person)

State High School Art Show

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction will be hosting the 50th Anniversary of the Art Show and will honor the state winners at a celebration in May. The event is scheduled for May 30, 2023 from 1-3 pm, Benaroya Hall (Nordstrom Recital Hall) in downtown Seattle (200 University Street).

Flag-Banner Contest - click here

Washington state students may participate in Youth Art Month 2023 by preparing a flag or banner design to be hung at the 2023 NAEA Convention in San Antonio (April 13-15th), in OSPI offices in Olympia, WA, and YAM Flag winners will be featured at the 50th Anniversary OSPI Superintendent's Art Show Reception. The participating school will be gifted a printed flag as well.

Washington State High School Photography Competition

An annual event designed to showcase the finest photographers in Washington State high schools. Any student grades 9-12 currently enrolled in an accredited public, private or alternative high school in Washington State. Students must coordinate with their school’s photography instructor in order to participate.
