Pathways, Possibilities and Plenty to Explore at the North Palouse Industry Fair

On March 12, students from Liberty, Freeman, Tekoa, Oakesdale, and Upper Columbia Academy gathered for the 4th annual North Palouse Industry Fair, where they had the chance to explore careers, meet professionals, and experience a wide range of industries up close.
Held at Liberty High School, the event brought together industry partners, colleges, community organizations, and career-focused programs to help students learn more about the many paths available to them after high school. Booths and hands-on activities introduced students to opportunities in health care, emergency services, manufacturing, skilled trades, college access, and more.
Throughout the morning, students moved from table to table asking questions, trying equipment, and engaging directly with professionals in the field. From radiologic technology displays and college navigation resources to construction projects and fire service demonstrations, the fair created meaningful opportunities for students to connect classroom learning with real-world careers.
Events like the North Palouse Industry Fair help students see what is possible and remind them that there is no single route to success. Whether their next step leads to college, technical training, apprenticeship, military service, or the workforce, students were able to leave with new ideas, new connections, and a broader view of the future.
A special thank-you goes to the industry partners, schools, and volunteers who helped make this event possible, as well as to this year’s sponsors: Inland Power, State Bank Northwest, Allwest, and McKinstry. Their support helped create an engaging and inspiring experience for students across the region.
