Reopening Guidelines

As of June 30th, 2021 the state guidelines were updated to reflect reopening for businesses. However, as Washington remains under a declared state of emergency due to COVID-19, the Talbott Event Center retains certain restrictions for health and safety.

The policies below were most recently updated on September 15, 2021.

Current Restrictions:

  1. HEALTH ATTESTATIONS: Every person who attends an event in the Talbott Event Center must complete a health attestation the same day as the event or meeting. Attestations are not required for meetings in the main Regal Facility.
  2. FACE COVERINGS: Per state mandate, masks are required for all people attending events, regardless of vaccination status. If you are unable to wear a mask due to health or religious restrictions, please request hybrid meeting accommodation from your event organizer.
  3. HYBRID MEETINGS: As high risk individuals can request accommodation under the Health Emergency Labor Standards Act (HELSA), event organizers are encouraged to check with their attendees prior to reserving space if Zoom or hybrid meeting space will be required.
  4. CATERING: Outside catering is permitted, but food service is restricted to self-contained, grab-and-go style snacks or meals.
  5. COFFEE: Coffee and water service  have resumed for events in the Talbott Event Center. Coffee/water service in the Regal Facility Computer Lab remains per request only, due to limited demand. If desired, please include this request under "special requests" in your room reservation.

No Longer Required:

  1. ROOM CAPACITY: No restrictions remain on capacity. Rooms can be reserved for full seated or standing capacity.
  2. PHYSICAL DISTANCING: No physical distancing requirements. Socially distant seating will only be guaranteed if it has been specifically requested.
  3. RECORDS: No sign-in sheet or pre-registration requirements.

In addition, the Talbott Event Center Staff will continue to:

  1. Ensure each meeting room is properly cleaned/sanitized between uses. 1 ½ hours is required in between each group per room utilized. (Ex. Spokane/Whitman would require 3 hours in between groups for proper cleaning)
  2. Provide sufficient hand sanitizing stations.
