There's Still Time to Shop the Science Center!
With the closure of the NEWED 101 Science Center, we are working to make sure materials have homes! We still have a large variety of science-related items that are available for schools to take to use in their classrooms! These items are FREE of charge and are perfect for variety of uses - from science to makerspace, and more! Bring your team and load up for the next school year.
The warehouse is available by appointment as long as supplies are available.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THE FUTURE OF THE NEWSRC STEM CENTER
The Science Kit Cooperative at NEWESD 101 has been part of our work since 2006. Over the years, it has grown and changed right alongside our schools, and we've truly loved supporting hands-on, quality science learning across the region.
Due to rising costs and shifting needs in our districts, we've made the difficult decision to discontinue the Science Kit Cooperative. This wasn't an easy choice, and we want to make sure our schools feel supported throughout the transition. All contracted services will be honored this school year. For schools using the kits this year, we sent out information to kit contacts and provided them with a timeline and additional details.
If you are a participating school, rest assured that you will have science materials for the entire 2026/2027 school year.
The good news: Beth Worthy, our STEM Center Manager, will be staying at NEWESD 101 in a new capacity and Michelle Grove will continue to serve as our Regional Science Coordinator.
