    Art show NEWESD 101's annual high school art show is fast approaching ... and with it comes the largest awards package in the program's 42-year history. The 2015 edition offers $5,000 in scholarship money from Central Washington University. The entry deadline is February 20. Details

    Arts contest added to Holocaust program
    Spokane's annual community observance of the Holocaust takes on a new element this year. The student learning component, which has long featured a creative writing contest, expands in 2015 to include a visual arts competition. Both are open to middle school and high school students.
