Educational Service District 101’s Information Technology department is pleased
to present the Parent / School Warning System (P/SWS).
P/SWS is designed to integrate existing school information management systems
with advanced communication capabilities.

A new school year is upon us and we have
made some improvements to the C.O.L.D system. For those of you
who are new and not familiar with C.O.L.D, it was ESD 101’s
pilot snow closure system for school districts and is a subset
of the Parent/School
Warning System.
 MEDIA NOTIFICATION
ALERT POSTING GUIDELINES
ESD 101 no longer offers C.O.L.D as a free
pilot service and the name has been changed to Media
Notification. The reason for the name change is to clarify
purpose and to officially move past a pilot program.
 PARTICIPATING
MEDIA
Media Notification can now be used for
situations requiring notification of the media without many of
the previous restrictions. In the past it was restricted
to weather related delays and closures only. Keep in mind
that it is entirely up to each media organization if they wish
to publicize the information or not.
Pricing:
Media Notification - $300 per district per
year (Up to 5 staff members may create media notification
alerts when using the web interface.)
