Biotechnology in school

A professional development workshop for science teachers and career counselors presented by WSU Spokane, Spokane Community College and EWU to be held in Spokane July 21-August 1, 2008.
Participants will develop teaching and advising materials related to biotechnology careers; have access to a free biotechnology equipment loan program; attend a field trip to Seattle biotechnology companies; receive a performance stipend; and receive clock hours or WSU graduate credits (non-reimbursed).
Counselors attend the first week; teachers attend both weeks. Teams also will attend a one-day Reconnect Workshop in February 2009 (substitutes funded).
