teachers grows by 35

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards has extended national certification to 35 ESD 101 region teachers in its latest awards cycle. National certification measures a teacher's practice against rigorous standards for what accomplished teachers should know and be able to do. Regional honorees include:

Central Valley – David Cunningham, Leanne Donley, Amanda Henneberg, Bridget Hocutt, Amanda Mortensen, Amy Smith, Ann Warner, Nicole Welding. Cheney – Brenda Klohe, Dustin Lungo. Deer Park – Teresa Arnzen. East Valley – George Barlow. Freeman – Barbara Gady. Mead – Amy Brinkman, Teri Inman. Newport – Brett Joachim. Pullman – Katharine Covill, Heather Lohrmeyer, Rena Mincks.

Reardan-Edwall – Ryan Leonard. Selkirk – Clarinda Vandyke. Spokane – Catherine Beadle, Robin Cooper-Dixon, Laura Demersseman, Daniel Farley, Jessica Finley, Susan Gerard, Pamela Kidder, Megan Maguire Rowand, Patricia Puyear, Emily Torres, Lisa Vance. West Valley – Florence Chambers, Tammy Wilson. Wilbur – Rhonda Widmer.
